I was finishing my first draft of my English report on umbilical cord blood banking in Malaysia when I came across this whilst reading an article in the Medical Journal of Malaysia :
“In Malaysia , the experience of umbilical transplant was first reported by Chan from Universiti Malaya who reported the first successful umbilical cord transplant in 1999 involving a 25 months old beta-thalassaemia major boy.”
