My Hours
Early Morning
- Needs physical / aural jump start. Good music works best. Door knocking/annoying alarms will result in a really bad day.
BEST Settle as many routine TTDs as possible, especially the ones that dont require much thinking or involve any decision-making processes. These include laundry, ironing, cleaning, prepping for work/school, training for runs, going to school/work etc
WORST : Any form of studying
Morning
- Brain still sleeping. Tend to slack unless early morning jobs gave a headstart
- Coffee & the ultimate breakfast for champions (eggs) tend to fix things but late - around 10am-ish.
- Often spent watching downloaded TV episodes
BEST : Mundane things that require little processing power - reading newspaper, running errands (pay bills, photocopy, fax, calls)
WORST : Lectures/tutorials/meetings. Nothing tend to stick. I may have to record lectures for my Masters studies….
Afternoon
- Brain slowly start to function, kinesthetic stimulus HELPS!
BEST : doing things that matters - work / job / assignments / projects
WORST : Reading / learning new things
Late Afternoon
- Physically charged
BEST : working out / gym / going out of the house
WORST : TV / routine things
Evening
- Mentally freshest, most productive time for brain food
BEST : Spent on studying, reading research papers, exam prep - especially initial studies on how to complete assignments tomorrow afternoon. Plan on things to do tomorrow
WORST : Going out of the house. I’m just too mentally productive to do meaningless things.
